" DS Brothers Ltd was hired to put the indian sandstone patio in the back garden (aprox. 15 m2) of terraced house, build brick edgings for flower beds and lay a new turf (aprox 30m2). I have not enough words to say how good job Damian and Szczepan have done. Always on time, always preparing the house and cleaning afterwards, thay are perfectionists. They worked longer hours to finish on time and had a very good knowlege of their trade. Advice given was always welcomed and overall it was very high value for money. I could only wish they carried my whole house refurbishment job. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. "
" Damian and Szczepan (Stefan) tendered for and then completed a project for us last year. This consisted of demolishing a large garage, building a replacement garage on the opposite side of the house and then reusing the vacated space to build a one floor one bedroom self-contained granny flat. The project started in late March 2008. The new garage took approximately six weeks and the main project finished in November. This was later than originally planned but the delays were caused by poor weather during the foundations dig phase and also an unexpected requirement from the structural engineer to go 50% deeper on the foundations than planned. Other than this there were no delays of any significance. The brothers and their team worked Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings and were punctually on site at 8 a.m. each day. Most of the time they finished between 5.30 and 6 p.m. although on some days they did work a little later. There was good liaison with them over the times of work. There was a weekly site meeting with D & S, the architect and ourselves. This was always attended promptly with the architect usually producing progress notes. In between the weekly formal meetings and more particularly towards the end of the project any issues were raised directly with and by D & S. Their workmanship, and that of their subcontractors, was generally of a very high standard. They have contacts in all of the relevant trades and are able to do most things themselves. When necessary (gas, electricity, plumbing etc.) they brought in qualified experts – always Polish! There was an ongoing effort made to keep the site secure and reasonably tidy. They regularly cleaned paths and the drive to reduce the amount of dust and dirt getting into the house. Generally, whilst it inevitably looked like a building site we were never greatly inconvenienced. As with any building project certain changes were made to the original plan as things progressed. " DS BROTHERS CONTRACTORS LTD worked on our renovation project for seven weeks during the course of 2008, as sub contractors on our 3 storey semi detached Victorian property.We can highly recommend them. They, and their team, were always the first to arrive on site and the last to leave. Their work was efficient and of high quality. They would also work on weekends when required as we were on a very tight timescale. They would point out design faults in the drawings and suggests remedies, which I found particularly helpful – whilst it was not in their remit, they clearly showed the ability to project manage, perhaps better than our project manager!! They were involved in the construction of the kitchen and bathroom and its fitting and plumbing and also carried out major plaster works and a wide range of smaller jobs. They are very polite and hardworking people and we would not hesitate to employ them again. "
" DS Brothers recently completed a kitchen extension for us. It was a major project as it involved demolishing the old structure and building from scratch. Throughout the team on site were friendly and courteous, and worked steadily to complete the project on time. It was not the fault of DS Brothers that some deliveries were made late, they always tried to be flexible so that work could be done as quickly as possible. The two things that impressed us most were the high quality of the work, and when we needed “extra jobs” doing, they were always willing to do these at a very fair price (examples include fitting a wooden floor and replacing some windows). "
" DS Brothers are the best builders I've ever come across. They did a full renovation and loft conversion for me in Queen's Park London. They came in on budget and time. The finish and quality is excellent. I've now recommended them to my friends and family. At the end of the day you get for what you pay for. These guys are not the cheapest but they deliver. And you can trust them which to me is priceless. "
" We recently engaged DS Brothers Limited to replace our roof and undertake certain internal alterations to our home. This is the second time they have undertaken work for us, previously having installed a family bathroom for us. On both occasions we were very happy with their high standard and quality of their work. Damian, Stefan and their team are professional, hard working and courteous. In addition their project management skills and good communication are noteworthy. We were also pleased that hey stuck to the agreed budget and timescale. " I found DS Brothers randomly and what a stroke of good luck... They fitted my kitchen to the highest standard, with thought on the finishing touches. They worked very quickly and tidily, but didn't rush to finish and ensured they did the job to an excellent level. A big thumbs up from me, highly recommended... And nice guys too. "
" Damian and Szczepan did a front and back extension to the ground floor of our townhouse, including moving the kitchen from it's current position and installing a new cloakroom. They, and their team, are very hard-working and diligent, as well as friendly, considerate and pretty tidy. They liaised with other tradesmen and companies to do the whole job for us, which made our lives easier and was appreciated. They also helped with sourcing materials which was great. Their communication was good in terms of discussing the work as it went and getting our input on details like socket placement and floorboard direction. We did need to discuss materials, fixtures and fittings etc. as we went, as the initial quote included a basic generic standard to be used. DS were happy to have these discussions though and we always reached agreeable solutions which suited our budget and taste. The build did run over in terms of time, but this was discussed regularly with us and we were very happy with the end result. In a time when a lot of builders are unreliable and overpriced, we feel that we certainly made the right choice. "
" I contacted DS Brothers Contractors Ltd through an advertisement with no prior references. The work required was a new patio based on a design I had worked on. The initial meeting went well and DS sounded knowledgeable. They were very accommodating when my stone deliveries were repeatedly delayed and work started promptly after I could confirm delivery. I was initially impressed with the foundations work but we had to allow the stone laying and final complex design/laying decisions to be implemented by DS whilst we were on holiday. Obviously nervous on our return to find an amazing job complete. In summary DS are accommodating, professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable and expert in their craft. "
